Life’s Random moments captured in color and form. Peggy Ferris is a life long designer and artist living in Santa Barbara. Design is inextricably interwoven with the artistic concepts of her paintings. These images started as casual experiments in Acrylic. They have gradually grown into several series and a body of work of their own. In these gestural abstractions, non-objective forms suggest a feeling, mood or energy associated with a physical place, state of mind or a memory. This work seeks a balance between spontaneous gestural expression and the structuring elements of architecturally-derived forms within the square format of the composition.
